Music network sites are the rage these days, we thought it would be absolutely a hoot to bring you some of the other network sites that have been making waves in musicdome. Don't just glued yourself to myspace music. Try this :

1. Project Opus

-Project Opus™ is an online music community designed to support artists, fans and local music. It is a single point of contact for discovery of new music.

They have two goals:
  • make it incredibly easy for bands to self-publish music, find their audience and then get paid for the sale and licensing of their music, and

What I have to say : " Love music ? Love reading blogs? Be part of the moggers ( music + Bloggers) Then you come for the right place"

*3. SellaBand

-SellaBand has been regarded as a driving force behind the Music Revolution. It challenges the traditional music industry and encourages aspiring artists and music lovers to go into business together. SellaBand aims to level the playing field of the global music industry.

Anyone can invest in a SellaBand artist or band and once they have achieved the required amount of investment, investors receive a limited edition copy of the album. On top of that, the artists and their fans share equally in the revenues of the album. SellaBand is an exciting way of discovering new music, changing the face of the music industry and being part of the fun.
[ Source : SellaBand]

What I have to say : "Wow will you look at that , making new songs and making money at the same time?! Everyday and every second , new band , new songs and new albums are releasing and introducing to the music industry, impressive(!). This music dome is much pretty cool when you are supporting your local artists . What I mean by "supporting" is making their dream come true as a musician. All you need to do invest some money to them by clicking a button "invest". When your favorite artist or a band reach about $50.000 or $100.000 , the Sellaband company will opens up a network with you favourite artist / band of producers and studios. The artist / band will choose where and with whom they want to record andyou will be able to follow the recording period on close foot. Not only that, After the album has been recorded, the music will be distributed globally through SellaBand’s wide range of distribution partners including Amazon and iTunes. The music sales revenues are split 50/50 between your favourite artist / band and yourself over a 5 year period (working with your favourite artist?! WOW). Now help and spread the word about your artist. You can use SellaBand widgets and other promo tools to get the name of your artist out there. Because it’s not going by itself; the more the music is promoted the more people will pick up on it and the more money you will earn. So don’t be selfish and spread the music! Is all about bussiness people!"

4. Last.fm
[http://www.last.fm/
]

-Last.fm is a music service that learns what you love...

Every track you play will tell your Last.fm profile something about what you like. It can connect you to other people who like what you like - and recommend songs from their music collections and yours too.

…and as you use Last.fm, you make it better for you and everyone else.

When you recommend some music to a friend, or you tag it, or you write about it - even just listening to it - you shift the song's importance on the site. It'll be recommended to different people, because you've listened to it. It'll move up our music charts and maybe more people will hear it because you thought it was good.

[Source : Last.fm]

What I have to say : "Their music spread so widely and fast by just listening to you favorite tunes. How they make them spread that fast?! Well with "love" ofcourse. As you listen to your favorite tunes , other people that are listening to what you are listening makes the artist music grow faster. The number of listeners will increase and make the song become so popular and just waiting to be discover. Interesting uh?! Your rightful ears are what make the bands or artists earn royalities. "

*5. Midomi

You can listen to and rate others' musical performances, see their pictures, send them messages, buy original music, and more.

[Source : Midomi]

What I have to say : " Have you ever had a tune or a beat to the song that you love but you can't remember the title? Well this website settle all your problems. All you need is a damned microphone and internat connection (bsaically -_-'). All you have to do is just sing or hum! What? Your voice sucks?! Nevermind , there is no one to judge around right?! Oh you dont't need to sign up or anything. The front page , there is a tab or browse that say "Click and Sing or Hum" , you just click and sing or hum your favourite beat approximately 10 seconds and EUREKA! The results will show the original artist / band or other people that also sang / hummed the beat like you did too. Seriously , this is cool wesbite to search any songs you want(!) very epic INDEED! It's a glorified karaoke joint! In other words, it's Pop Idol with camwhore photos (hehe). Or . . . if you still have that shy mice , you can just type at the seacrh tab. Seriously its awesome (!)
